It used to be that, if you had to replace your
sewer line, a deep trench had to be cut from
your house to your street. Besides ripping up
your lawn, the trench often had to cut through
your walk or driveway as well as your landscaping.
Trenchless Sewer Replacement
Mr. Rescue offer a wise alternative”
trenchless sewer replacement”. The tric
system works by digging two holes, one where
the sewer exits the building and the other at
either the property line or in the street where
it connects to the mainline. A steel cable is
then Threaded through the old sewer pipe and
a hardened steel bursting head is attached to
one end of the cable. The new polyethylene pipe
is then attached to the back of the bursting
head. At the other end the TRIC hydraulic system
is set up which pulls the cable. Once the system
has been set up and turned on the operator uses
a remote control to "pull" the cable
with the head and pipe attached down into the
hole at the side of the house . It then pulls
the new HDPE pipe through the old pipe breaking
it and pushing the pieces out into the soil.
The new pipe gets pulled all the way to the
exit hole where the connections are made, it
is inspected and then the holes filled in.
This can all usually be done in one day, for
less money than the old method, and is a whole
lot less disruptive to your property.
